MKI
How we approach a new website brief
What we ask for, what we ignore, and how a Jakarta company can brief MKI without a 40-slide deck.
A useful website brief is short. If it takes forty slides to explain the business, the site will inherit the same fog.
We would rather start with a conversation and one written page than a brand book nobody on the buying side has read.
What we need first
Who you sell to, what you actually deliver, and what a visitor should do in the first visit. Screenshots of sites you respect help. Screenshots of sites you hate help more.
What we push back on
“Make it modern” is not a brief. Neither is “like this competitor, but better.” We will ask what better means in your market — usually trust, speed to an enquiry, or a clearer offer.
If the real problem is the offer, a redesign will not save it. We will say that early.
How a typical engagement runs
We align on goals and constraints, design the structure and key pages, then build. You see work in progress; you do not wait three months for a big reveal.
Jakarta clients often already have a domain, old WordPress, and a sales team that cannot use the current site. That is a normal starting point. We plan the cutover so you are not offline while we work.
